Crusoe Manufacturing has expanded in Tulsa, Oklahoma by opening a second manufacturing plant that adds 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
According to Crusoe, the facilities manufacture electrical equipment that serves as the foundation for AI innovation. Crusoe manufactures switchgears, switchboards and industrial controls that are used in data centers.
Crusoe announced the first factory in Tulsa in August 2024.
Demand for Data Centers
Demand for data centers is growing because of AI and cloud computing. These data centers require lots of energy, water, copper and aluminum.
Crusoe states “We incentivize the development of new energy technologies that help us bend the arc of energy towards sustainability. The goal is to support the grid, not strain it, and to avoid shifting costs to local ratepayers”.
Also, Crusoe designs data centers to minimize water use and keep local supplies secure for the people who depend on them.
