Drones are a relatively new technology that is being used for many applications. We don’t use drones at C&C Machine, but some of our customers could benefit from their use. This article from Air Drone Craze lists twelve non-military uses.
The most interesting uses to us were:
Structural Safety Inspections
The use here could be on systems like oil and gas pipelines, wind turbines and transmission towers. This method could be more time-efficient and safer than traditional inspection systems.
Construction Sites
This could be especially useful for construction sites that are in remote locations. Information could be obtained about the project’s progress in a timely manner.
