Electrical Connector Made from PEEK Material
PEEK (Poly Ether Ether Ketone) is an excellent material choice for components that need to perform in harsh conditions. Certain types of electrical connectors are an example. Other applications include components for medical instruments, food processing and aerospace. From our perspective, PEEK is relatively easy to machine.
According to Regal Plastics, PEEK can be used continuously up to 480 0F (250 0C) and in hot water and steam without permanent loss in physical properties. The material has a V-0 flammability rating and exhibits very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. Multiple grades of PEEK are available.
